What does a resume checker actually check?
A resume checker extracts the text from your file the way recruiting software does, then grades what it found.
This one rates six signals out of 100: extractable text with working contact details, a summary of usable length, dates on every role, numbers inside bullet points, action verbs at the front of lines, and enough relevant skills as plain text. Around 80 out of 100 is the point where the mechanical problems are gone. The score is useful mainly as a shortcut to the list of failing checks, which is the part that tells you what to edit.

What your resume score is grading
Six checks, each independently pass or fix. A single failure can cost you more than the number suggests, because some failures make the rest unreadable.
The file itself
A real text-based PDF. If your resume was exported as an image, designed in a graphics tool, or scanned, software sees a blank page and so does every check below.
Contact details
Name, email, phone, all as text in the body rather than inside a header, footer, or logo. This is the most common silent failure in otherwise good resumes.
Summary length
One to three sentences. A page-long profile gets skipped, an absent one leaves a recruiter guessing what you are.
Dates on every role
Start and end per position. Gaps are normal and fine. Missing dates break sorting and read as evasive.
Numbers in your bullets
Counts, percentages, team sizes, amounts. Numbers are the only part of a bullet point a skimming recruiter treats as evidence.
Relevant skills
At least three, as plain text, matching what your target roles ask for. Skills inside an image or a skills-bar graphic do not exist as far as search is concerned.

What no resume checker can tell you
Any tool that grades a resume is grading structure. It cannot tell you whether your experience is strong enough for the level you are targeting, whether a claim is true, or whether this particular company will care about the project you led. A 94 on a resume aimed at the wrong roles produces the same silence as a 41.
Be sceptical of two things in this category. First, any checker that shows a low score and then charges to reveal what is wrong: the failing checks are the product, not the number. Second, any tool that claims to know how a specific company's system will rank you. Nobody outside that company knows its configuration.
The useful sequence is short. Fix the mechanical failures once, then move your attention to volume and targeting, because that is where most Indian job hunts actually stall. A cleaner resume sent to eight roles a week loses to a decent resume sent to fifty.

What is a good resume score?
Around 80 out of 100. At that point the mechanical problems are gone and further editing rarely changes outcomes. Between 60 and 79 you normally have one or two specific gaps worth twenty minutes. Below 60 the document is usually losing information when software reads it, which is a rebuild rather than a tidy-up.
Does it work as a CV checker?
Yes. For Indian job applications, CV and resume mean the same document and the checks are identical: readable text, dated roles, quantified bullets, relevant skills. Upload whichever version you actually send to recruiters.
Is a resume checker the same as a resume scanner?

Judgement about content is still yours, and a high score on thin experience is still thin experience.
