How ApplyCove works

Four steps from signup to first scheduled session. Setup takes under 10 minutes.

Process

Launch your first session in minutes

Connect your accounts, set your preferences, and ApplyCove handles the rest. Check back to find applications done and interviews waiting.

1

Connect Your Accounts

Link your Naukri and LinkedIn profiles. Your login details are kept private and secure - never shared or visible to anyone.

Each step in detail

What actually happens during connect, configure, schedule, and monitor, plus the gotchas to avoid.

1

Connect your Naukri and LinkedIn accounts

Install the ApplyCove Chrome extension, log in to Naukri or LinkedIn the way you already do (including Google sign-in or 2FA), then click Sync. The extension reads your existing browser session (cookies and localStorage), encrypts it with AES-256, and uploads it to your ApplyCove account. Your portal password never leaves your browser, and ApplyCove does not accept or store portal passwords. The extension is the only way to connect a platform.

Common gotcha

If the extension shows "Log in to Naukri first" even though you are signed in, hard refresh the portal tab. The cookie may still be propagating. For LinkedIn, the session is captured the moment li_at cookie appears.

2

Set job preferences once

Upload your latest resume (PDF or DOCX). Add target roles, expected CTC range, preferred locations, notice period, and a blocklist of companies you want to skip (for example your current employer). These preferences drive job matching across both platforms. You can update them anytime without re-uploading the resume.

Common gotcha

If you target multiple very different roles (say frontend dev and product manager), use Pro's resume variants so each application uses the right resume + cover letter combination.

3

Schedule sessions or run instantly

Hit Start to run a session right now, or schedule recurring sessions: pick weekdays, weekends, or custom days; pick Naukri search or LinkedIn Easy Apply; set runtime (15-90 min depending on plan). You can stack multiple schedules: Naukri at 10am, LinkedIn at 8pm, weekend cleanup at 11am Saturday. Each session runs in its own isolated browser.

Common gotcha

Avoid scheduling all sessions in the same 30-minute window. That triggers both platforms' rate limits. Space sessions at least 1 hour apart for best results.

4

Monitor + iterate from the dashboard

Open the dashboard anytime to see live sessions, completed applications, callback rate by role or city, and any errors. Every application has a full log: which job, which answers were entered, what the result was. Use the data to refine your preferences: if a particular role keeps getting low callback rates, tweak the search query or salary band and re-run.

Common gotcha

Low callback rates usually mean the resume needs ATS keyword tuning or the salary expectation is misaligned. The dashboard surfaces callback rate by query so you can spot which searches are working.
